Robert's Heirloom Rosaries presents- The Virgin Of Charity

Unbreakable single Decade Rosary of The Virgin Of Charity

These are each single decade rosaries- meant to be carried in the pocket or purse.

This single decade rosary- Pater Noster is a Heart Shaped Tensha bead and 8MM Natural Red Jade stone. The Aves are 8 MM natural Red Jade. The connectors are 4 MM Red Jade. The hanging medal is a beautiful medal of The Virgin Of Charity. The medal bears a portrait of the Virgin Of Charity and below here is the small boat with the fishermen who encountered her. It is beautifully detailed. The ornate crucifix matches well with the hanging medal.

If there is one single symbol capable of uniting Cubans, it is the Virgin of Charity of El Cobre, patron saint of Cuba. According to tradition, the image now venerated at the shrine of El Cobre, in the province of Santiago de Cuba, was found around 1912 by three El Cobre fishermen-two Indian brothers, Rodrigo and Juan de Hoyos, and a small boy, nine or ten years old, Juan Moreno, who had gone out to the Bay of Nipe in search of salt. The small image, carved in wood, carried the Baby Jesus in her arms and was fastened to a small plank that read: “I am the Virgin of Charity.”
All components are solid Bronze. The medals and crucifixes are museum pieces that have been recast so we can continue to enjoy these works of art from past centuries.

This is considered an “unbreakable rosary.” -as each bead is individually wire wrapped and should never come apart. However- dropping it on a hard surface may crack the beads. You should always take great care of this devotional.
