Robert's Heirloom Rosaries- Newly Listed! Rosary of St. Teresa of Avila

This is the Rosary of St. Teresa of Avila

Construction and facts about your 5 decade Rosary:

This Rosary is made with-

The Pater Noster's (our Father) are 12 MM Lantern Style Variegated Royal Blue Agate and 10 MM hand crafted ornate Bronze beads. The Ave's (Hail Marys) are 8 MM Pale Yellow natural Jade. This sacramental has a very antiqued Victorian look to it.

All components are Bronze. The beautiful rosary center is a beautiful representation of Saint Teresa Of Avila. Saint Teresa is more often than not represented as holding an open book with the dove of the Holy Spirit above her head in flight. The beautiful crucifix adds the final touches to this beautiful devotional sacramental. All medals are recasts of century past religious medals. Lots of Bronze dress this wonderful sacramental. Rosary in Green Garnet and Bronze

Green garnet in 8mm beads made up the AVE beads in this rosary. They are a beautiful shade of green with both transparent and opaque stones.
The PATER beads are large white turquoise (howlite) rondelles. These particular stones are beautiful with lovely dark brown matrix running through them. Each PATER bead is encased in antique gold bali-like bead caps and a small button pearl for emphasis. In between all the beads I have used bronze seed beads.
The crucifix on this rosary is a large 2-1/2" bronze crucifix, and the center is a simple cross.
This would make a lovely and memorable gift for anyone whether female or male.
This is a Heirloom rosary both for the quality of the stones, and the quality of the workmanship. It is a rosary that will last through the ages!

Just Listed! With Vintage 'Offerings' Cross!

Now in the shop at HeartFeltRosaries.com--
The Cross that ornaments this Rosary is from the Offerings Collection of Richard and Mariana Jacobs. It is genuine, vintage and, as a one-of-a-kind find, it cannot be offered again. It is a particularly nice representative of their work, and coveted by collectors.

There is an abundance of Sterling in this Rosary--surrounding the Amethyst Paters with granulation, double wrapping and swirling over the Onyx Aves.  Then there is the surprise of the perfect Moonstone inset beneath the larger, faceted Amethyst on the Cross--and the tiny, cross-shaped sterling beads that separate the decades from the Paters!
It is very special, and will crown any collection and bless any prayer life!
Visit the listing here--and check out the rest of the store while you're there!

St. Benedict Rosary at Laude Arts and Gifts

St. Benedict was born in the fifth century to a wealthy family. In his early 20's, he forsook his wealth and life of ease to dedicate his life to God. His holiness became well known and he was invited to join a monastic order. His rule was too aesthetic for the order and the monks tried to get rid of him by poisoning him. Needless to say, they were unsuccessful in their attempt. He later went on to reform monasticism. To this day, his Rule is followed in Benedictine communities all over the world. His medal brings God's blessing to its owner and is a protection against evil.

The Paters in this rosary are 60 year old vintage twisted lampwork beads from Japan. They are beautiful beads, but they remind me of bite sized pieces of licorice. :) The are complimented beautifully by the Avé beads which are 8mm white turquoise. White turquoise is also known as howlite. The crucifix is silver colored metal with black enamel and the center is lead free pewter. This striking rosary would be a great gift for a man or a woman. It would also be great to keep for yourself!   Please click here to learn more about this rosary, and please click here to view my store and more of my handcrafted rosaries.

Just Listed at HeartFelt Rosaries!

New at HeartFeltRosaries.com--John Paul 2, Our Lady of Czestochowa, St Jean Vianney (patron of Priests) and Our Lady of Lujan are all featuedted in my newest Rosary--

With its JP2 center and Patron Saint of Priests medals, I thought it was particularly suited to seminarians, priests, and deacons (and those who pray for them)--but anyone with a devotion to Blessed John Paul 2 or Our Lady of Czestochowa will also treasure this elegant Rosary.
Here's the flipside of the medals--
The Tiger Eye Aves reflect the light in toasty chocolatey bands, and the White Turquoise Paters serve as an elegant highlight.  All are wrapped in bronze wire for an unbreakable connection--this Rosary will last through a lifetime of prayer.
It has a wonderful feel in the hand, and prays beautifully.

Open to US residents only

Okay…here’s the scoop!   The Etsy Rosary Guild is a group of artisans who make beautiful, hand crafted rosaries and jewelry.  We are dedicated to using our art as a witness to our faith as well as using it to help support ourselves and our families.   Naturally, we want to let the world in on what we are doing, so we have decided to have a monthly give away as a means of advertising our creations.   We started doing this in June and so far, our give aways have been enormously successful.  We are hoping that you would like to get in on the action.

You can enter as many times as you wish…no purchase necessary.   However, if you find that you would like to buy something, we won’t stop you!

Here are the rules.   We’ve tried to make it as simple as possible.

To enter, first visit Christine's shop and take a look at all the beautiful items she has made.   Find your favorite item and come back and tell us about it in a comment on the blog.  That’s it!  You’re done…if you want to be.

Please leave your email address on each comment that you make in the form of JaneDoe (at) anywhere.com.   That way we will be able to contact you if you are the lucky winner.

If you would like to make more entries after visiting Christine's  shop, here’s how you can do it.

  • Enter one (or more) of the member’s shops listed in the side bar on the right, find something you like and come back here and tell us about it in a comment on the blog.  Remember that each comment counts as an entry, so make separate comments for each shop that you visit.   That way you can rack up more entries.
  • Sign up to follow our blog.   You probably want to do this anyway so that you can learn about all that we are doing and keep an eye out for our next give away.  If you already follow our blog, (thank you) and just leave your user ID in a comment.
  • Become a Facebook Fan of The Etsy Rosary Guild Team. Leave a comment back here with your Facebook name. Existing fans just leave your Facebook ID here in a separate comment.
  • Sign up to become one of Christine's Facebook fans.  Come back here and tell us about it.
  • Sign into Christine's website, come back here and tell us about it.
  • Blog about our give away on your blog…or anyone else’s J… and come back here and put a link to the post in a comment.
  • Refer our Give Away Contest and our Blog to a friend. Ask them to leave a comment on the contest saying that “(your user ID) referred them. This will give them an entry and will give you yet another entry.   Two for the price of one ain’t bad!

Just a reminder:  Remember to leave your email address in the form of JaneDoe (at) anywhere.com.   That way we can contact you if you are the lucky winner.

Also remember…Comments = Entries!  Yaaaay!   So leave as many comments as you like.  Just click on the word “Comments” at the bottom center of the post and you’re ready to go.

Winner will be chosen by Random.org

Oh yes, this goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway.   Guild members are not eligible to win.   While this bums most of us out completely, it means y’all get more chances to win.

Thanks so much for taking the time to give us a look-see and thank you for entering.

Remember, our contest ends on Sunday, October 16, 2011
