Both the Aves and the Paters in this rosary are tourmaline. Accenting the tourmaline are 3mm white simulated pearls. The Ave beads are 7mm and the Pater beads are 12mm. The colors range from black to deep purple to mauve and light pink. Some of the darker beads have an inner iridescence which gives them a little sparkle. The result is a beautiful multicolor rosary. Since these are natural stones, many of these beads are not completely round and some have minor imperfections. The Miraculous Medal is silver colored metal as is the Trinity crucifix. This intricate crucifix is loaded with symbolism. At the top of the crucifix is an image of God the Father who descends as a dove which is behind our Lord's head. The Holy Spirit imbues Himself into Our Lord who, in turn, descends directly into the Eucharist. It is a beautiful depiction of our Catholic faith.
