One thing is for sure...this isn't your grandmother's rosary. Yes, it has all 59 beads - 6 Paters and 53 Avés. Yes, it has 5 full decades, a pendant, a crucifix and a medal...but traditional is one thing it is not.
The idea for this rosary came about because I got tired for digging in the bottom of my purse for my rosary and wished there was some way for it to be handy. It is my latest design. It consists of 5 strands of 10 beads each also known as decades and one strand consisting of 5 beads, a crucifix and a medal traditionally known as the pendant. The beads in each of the decades are the Avé beads. The antiqued brass cross charms at the end of each decade serve as the Paters.
This particular rosary is done in blues and greens and honors St. Anne the mother of Mary. The vintage brass medal depicts St. Anne with a small girl who represents Our Blessed Mother as a child.
